General pod information: A rod pod is useful when an angler wishes to use a multiple rod setup without the need for separate banksticks, the buzzers and rear rests are placed on buzz bars which are screwed into the pod. A rod pod is particularly useful when fishing from wooden platforms or the banks are too hard to push in sticks. Most pods have adjustable legs so the angler can position their rods upwards euro style or with rod tips pointing downwards when slack line fishing. Rod pods are now made from a range of different materials such as stainless steel, plastic coated aluminium and even carbon and most can accomodate up to four rods.
